Since the Braves are in the playofffs. It makes sense that Hyundai has extended its partnership with them through the 2029 MLB season. You know the saying: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
What started back in 2014 will now live on for at least another three seasons, continuing a relationship that has been around for the Braves’ entire tenure at Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta.
And this isn’t a “put a couple of cars outside the stadium and call it a sponsorship” type of deal.
Hyundai is pretty heavily baked into the Braves experience. You can see it at the ballpark, hear it on the radio and even find the brand attached to some of the team’s Sunday traditions.
What Does the Hyundai Atlanta Braves Partnership Include?
The renewed Hyundai Atlanta Braves partnership gives the automaker prominent visibility throughout Truist Park.
That starts with signage.
Hyundai will maintain its outfield wall placement in left field along with seating bowl signage behind the visitors’ dugout. Those aren’t random locations. Both give the brand visibility to people sitting inside Truist Park and fans watching Braves games on television.
Hyundai will also continue as a presenting sponsor of Sunday broadcasts on the Braves Radio Network and BravesVision.
The Braves Radio Network reaches 170 markets across eight states and is described by the organization as the largest radio network in professional sports.
That gives Hyundai a footprint that stretches well beyond Atlanta.
Hyundai Will Continue Sponsoring Braves Alumni Sunday
One of the cooler parts of the partnership is something fans can actually participate in.
Hyundai remains the presenting sponsor of Alumni Sunday, which takes place before every Sunday Braves home game at the Georgia Power Pavilion in The Battery Atlanta.
Fans attending the event can meet notable former Braves players and get free autographs.
It is a smart piece of the sponsorship because Hyundai isn’t simply putting its name somewhere fans can see it. The brand is attaching itself to an experience Braves fans may actually remember.
Hyundai Hope on Wheels Will Remain Part of the Partnership
There is also a community component.
Since 2019, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has worked with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to give a pediatric patient the opportunity to throw a ceremonial first pitch at a Braves game during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month or at the team’s final home game of the season.
According to Hyundai, Hope on Wheels has provided more than $7.2 million in support for pediatric cancer research and care at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta since 2005.
That program will continue as part of the renewed Braves partnership.
Hyundai’s Relationship With Georgia Goes Beyond Baseball
There is another reason the Braves relationship makes sense for Hyundai. Georgia has become a major part of the company’s U.S. operations.
The auto company made a $7.59 billion investment and is expected to create 8,500 jobs at the facility. Additionally, the plant is expected to have the capacity to produce 500,000 vehicles annually.
Hyundai Motor Group says its broader investments in Georgia are expected to support nearly 40,000 direct and indirect jobs and $4.6 billion in individual earnings annually, based on research from the Center for Automotive Research.
That makes the Braves deal more than a national company attaching itself to a popular MLB team. Hyundai has a substantial business presence in the state and thousands of employees connected to its Georgia operations.
Their Chief Marketing Officer Sean Gilpin specifically pointed to that Georgia connection when announcing the extension, saying the partnership is important because of Hyundai’s relationship with the state and the employees who call Georgia home.
Hyundai and the Braves Are Staying Together Through 2029
After more than a decade together, Hyundai and the Atlanta Braves clearly see enough value in the relationship to keep it going.
For Hyundai, that means continued exposure inside Truist Park, across Braves broadcasts and through events that directly involve fans and the Atlanta community.
For Braves fans, don’t expect Hyundai to disappear from the ballpark anytime soon.
The Hyundai Atlanta Braves partnership is officially sticking around through the 2029 season.
